Architectural Technician

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Location: Cirencester

Hours: Flexi start and finish time (Full time Monday – Friday)

Holiday: 25 days holiday + B/H and Christmas shutdown on top of your holiday allowance.

Overview
We are looking for an Architectural Technician to join us at our Cirencester Office. In the past few years Pier Architecture has experienced a sharp increase in customer growth. To keep up with this, we are looking to expand our employee base. You would be coming in at an exciting time within the company, with lots of potential for personal career development as we continue to grow.

Job Description
We are looking for someone with experience across RIBA Workstages 4-7 on primarily developer residential projects with a keen eye for creative solutions.

You will need to have an understanding and awareness of both conventional and innovative approaches to construction, an ability to translate design concepts into clear and appropriate detail design solutions. Reviewing drawings and sections of existing structures and technical drawing / detailing packages, leading the design team and co-ordinating drawings with other consultants and contractor design elements.

The ideal candidate for the role will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience of working on and understanding of current UK building regulations
  • A keen eye for design as well as the technical skills in working with new and existing buildings – experience in flats/conversion and Brown Field sites would be helpful.
  • Fast, efficient, and excellent knowledge of REVIT & supporting Autodesk products
  • Knowledge of NBS and specification writing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Liaison with external and internal client teams
  • Preparation and coordination of architectural drawings
  • Preparing technical supporting data for specifications and reports etc.
  • Ensure compliance to the appropriate company CAD standards and protocol
  • Apply policies relating to company standards & procedures, health & safety, quality, and training
  • Mentoring less experienced members of the CAD team.
